S.D. Shibulal is the co-founder of Axilor Ventures. He co-founded Infosys in 1981 and led the company in different capacities since its inception. He was a member of the Board of Infosys and was its CEO & MD between 2011 and 2014. Amongst his innumerable achievements during his time at Infosys, he is especially proud of being instrumental in creating the Global Delivery Model. The model established a new standard for delivery of outsourced IT services. He serves on several global leadership forums and advisory boards.

Shibu serves on the board of several organisations promoting education. He is Trustee of the Infosys Science Foundation, a not-for-profit trust; a Member of the Board of Trustees, Boston University and a Member of the Board of Managers of Haverford College, Philadelphia. He is also the Chairman of the High Power Digital Advisory Committee (HPDAC) of Kerala.

Srinath Batni served as a member of the Board of Directors at Infosys from 2000 to 2014. Since he joined Infosys from June of 1992, he has held various positions from project management to heading key business units. As a Board Member, he was responsible for delivery excellence across the company.

He was also a member of the Infosys Foundation trust and the Employees Welfare Trust. During his tenure at Infosys, he served as a member of the Executive Council of NASSCOM helping the software industry of India. Srinath also serves as a non-executive Board Member Member in Axiscades Ltd, an engineering product development company in the aerospace industry and Global Edge Software Ltd, a software product development company in the telecom industry.

Srinath received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Mysore University and a masters degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He plays a key role at his alma mater – NIE Mysore as the President of the Management Committee

Tarun Khanna is the Jorge Paulo Lemann Professor at the Harvard Business School and Director of Harvard University’s Lakshmi Mittal & Family South Asia Institute. For over 25 years, he has studied entrepreneurship as a means of economic development and has applied his research to launch several ventures globally. His online course, Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies, one of Harvard’s most popular, has been taken by more than half a million students in over 200 countries. His latest book, Trust, and his earlier Billions of Entrepreneurs, chronicle creative ventures in China, India and beyond.

Outside Harvard, he also serves on the boards of the global power company, AES Corporation, the global adtech company and India’s first unicorn, InMobi, Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, PRS India, a non-profit dedicated to India’s parliamentary governance, and is a co-founder of several ventures across the developing world.

In 2007, he was nominated to be a Young Global Leader (under 40) by the World Economic Forum. In 2009, he was elected a Fellow of the Academy of International Business. In 2016, he was recognized by the Academy of Management as Eminent Scholar for Lifetime Achievement in the field of International Management. Recently, the Government of India appointed him to lead several national committees connected to entrepreneurship and higher education.

Ganapathy Venugopal (VG) is Co-founder & CEO of Axilor Ventures. VG spent his first fifteen years in leadership roles helping large corporates manage and mitigate risk. Prior to co-founding Axilor Ventures, VG was Head of Strategy & Planning at Infosys. At Axilor, he helps founders build successful businesses. 

VG serves on the boards of several companies and advisory bodies. He is an active writer on issues relating to startups. VG holds a bachelors in engineering and a postgraduate degree in management from IIM Lucknow.

Ananth is keen to partner with founders building next-gen platforms solving for Supply Chains, Enterprise and Fintech.

Ananth is an Investment Associate at Axilor and focuses on Supply Chain, Enterprise SaaS and Fintech investments.

Prior to joining Axilor, Ananth was with Inflexor Ventures, a deeptech VC fund, working on areas like Quantum Computing and Embedded Fintech. Prior to this, he was part of the core team at Venture Intelligence, where his role encompassed Research, Product Development, Sales, and Media Relations.

Ananth had also spent time in contract manufacturing (plastic injection moulding for consumer OEMs) early on in his career.

Ananth completed his Bachelors from Vivekananda College, Chennai. He is also pursuing the CFA charter, having cleared Level I of the CFA program.

Nandan leads B2B investing at Axilor with a focus on Enterprise Tech, SaaS, Supply Chain, Logistics & B2B Fintech.

Nandan is a Principal at Axilor and leads B2B Investments across Enterprise Tech, SaaS (Global & Domestic), B2B Marketplaces, Supply Chain, Logistics and B2B Fintech.

Prior to joining Axilor, Nandan was with the Investment Banking team at Mosaic Capital, an India & Europe based Investment Banking firm where he focused on the Technology, Industrial & Healthcare sectors. Prior to this, he was with the Corporate & Investment Banking (Treasury & Securities Services) team at JP Morgan.

He holds an Advanced Diploma in Finance from the University of Cambridge and has a Business Management degree from Bangalore University. He also holds Investment Certifications from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments – London.

Nidhi is excited about creating world class companies at the intersection of innovation and impact. She would like to hear from like-minded researchers and/or enterpreneurs.

Nidhi focusses on incubating innovative ideas under the Axilor Labs initiative. She is a serial entre/intra-preneur with interest and experience bringing radical innovations to market, building market acceptance for new-to-the-world technologies, and scaling-up businesses.

In her previous avatar, she co-founded Niramai, an AI startup for breast cancer screening. Previously, while working with corporate research labs and incubation offices, she has worked on business models and products aimed at bridging the affordability and accessibility divide in emerging markets.

She is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore where she specialized in Marketing and Strategy. Apart from work, she enjoys trekking, bird-watching and helping out young entrepreneurs.

Prachi Sinha heads Healthcare, Climate-tech and Agritech Investments at Axilor. Prachi is most passionate about working with entrepreneurs on business model viability, go to market strategies, corporate partnerships, and clean regulatory pathways.

Prachi has a decade of public policy and consulting experience in organizations including Janaagraha and McKinsey. She is an MBA from Indian School of Business (ISB) and an economics graduate from Fergusson college, Pune.

Sanjana is looking for passionate early-stage founders dedicated to developing Climate and Healthcare technologies that are vital for tomorrow.

Sanjana is an Investment Associate at Axilor, focusing on Climate and Health-Tech investments.

Prior to joining Axilor, Sanjana worked with January Capital, a VC based in Singapore focusing on B2B Commerce and Enterprise SaaS deals. She was also a part of Wavemaker Impact’s climate-tech venture build in Singapore.

Sanjana’s experience spreads across organizations such as PwC, Deloitte and Vymo wherein she worked in finance and strategy roles within Audit, M&A and the CEO’s Office.

Sanjana completed her Bachelors from Christ University. She is also a Chartered Accountant and she holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore.

Shubham is the Manager of Legal and Compliance at Axilor. With practical experiences from working on transactions of all scales, he has gained a vast knowledge base to provide support to Axilor and its portfolio companies.

Before joining Axilor, Shubham worked as a Senior Associate at Sarvaank Associates, where he practiced in core areas of Commercial Law and Private Equity and spearheaded customized
assistance to clients in drafting and negotiating Shareholder’s Agreement, Founders Agreement, Service Agreement, and other transactional as well as general corporate documents.
