S.D. Shibulal is the co-founder of Axilor Ventures. He co-founded Infosys in 1981 and led the company in different capacities since its inception. He was a member of the Board of Infosys and was its CEO & MD between 2011 and 2014. Amongst his innumerable achievements during his time at Infosys, he is especially proud of being instrumental in creating the Global Delivery Model. The model established a new standard for delivery of outsourced IT services. He serves on several global leadership forums and advisory boards.
Shibu serves on the board of several organisations promoting education. He is Trustee of the Infosys Science Foundation, a not-for-profit trust; a Member of the Board of Trustees, Boston University and a Member of the Board of Managers of Haverford College, Philadelphia. He is also the Chairman of the High Power Digital Advisory Committee (HPDAC) of Kerala.
Mr Senapathy “Kris” Gopalakrishnan is the Chairman of Axilor Ventures, a seed fund. Kris served as the vice chairman of Infosys from 2011 to 2014 and the chief executive officer and managing director of Infosys from 2007 to 2011. Kris is one of the co-founders of Infosys. Recognized as a global business and technology thought leader, he was voted the top CEO (IT Services category) in Institutional Investor’s inaugural ranking of Asia’s Top Executives and selected as one of the winners of the second Asian Corporate Director Recognition Awards by Corporate Governance Asia in 2011. He also was selected to Thinkers 50, an elite list of global business thinkers, in 2009. He was elected President of India’s apex industry chamber Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for 2013-14, and served as one of the co-chairs of the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2014.
In January 2011, the Government of India awarded Mr. Gopalakrishnan the Padma Bhushan, the country’s third-highest civilian honor.
Mr Gopalakrishnan serves on the Board of Governors of Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) and is the Chairman, Board of Governors of IIIT, Bangalore. He is the Chairman of the Vision Group on Information Technology of Karnataka Government and the Chairman of CII Start-up Council. Mr Gopalakrishnan invests in promoting research on Brain sciences, aging related disorders as well as investing in start-ups and start-up ecosystem.
Mr. Gopalakrishnan holds Master’s degrees in physics and computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Kris is a Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineers (INAE) and an Honorary Fellow of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) of India.
Prof. Tarun Khanna
Tarun Khanna is the Jorge Paulo Lemann Professor at the Harvard Business School and Director of Harvard University’s Lakshmi Mittal & Family South Asia Institute. For over 25 years, he has studied entrepreneurship as a means of economic development and has applied his research to launch several ventures globally. His online course, Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies, one of Harvard’s most popular, has been taken by more than half a million students in over 200 countries. His latest book, Trust, and his earlier Billions of Entrepreneurs, chronicle creative ventures in China, India and beyond.
Outside Harvard, he also serves on the boards of the global power company, AES Corporation, the global adtech company and India’s first unicorn, InMobi, Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, PRS India, a non-profit dedicated to India’s parliamentary governance, and is a co-founder of several ventures across the developing world.
In 2007, he was nominated to be a Young Global Leader (under 40) by the World Economic Forum. In 2009, he was elected a Fellow of the Academy of International Business. In 2016, he was recognized by the Academy of Management as Eminent Scholar for Lifetime Achievement in the field of International Management. Recently, the Government of India appointed him to lead several national committees connected to entrepreneurship and higher education.
Srinath Batni served as a member of the Board of Directors at Infosys from 2000 to 2014. Since he joined Infosys from June of 1992, he has held various positions from project management to heading key business units. As a Board Member, he was responsible for delivery excellence across the company.
He was also a member of the Infosys Foundation trust and the Employees Welfare Trust. During his tenure at Infosys, he served as a member of the Executive Council of NASSCOM helping the software industry of India. Srinath also serves as a non-executive Board Member Member in Axiscades Ltd, an engineering product development company in the aerospace industry and Global Edge Software Ltd, a software product development company in the telecom industry.
Srinath received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Mysore University and a masters degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He plays a key role at his alma mater – NIE Mysore as the President of the Management Committee
Ganapathy Venugopal (VG) is Co-founder & CEO of Axilor Ventures. VG spent his first fifteen years in leadership roles helping large corporates manage and mitigate risk. Prior to co-founding Axilor Ventures, VG was Head of Strategy & Planning at Infosys. At Axilor, he helps founders build successful businesses.
VG serves on the boards of several companies and advisory bodies. He is an active writer on issues relating to startups. VG holds a bachelors in engineering and a postgraduate degree in management from IIM Lucknow.
Asutosh leads Fintech, Enterprise & SaaS Investments at Axilor. He is an Engineering graduate from NITK, Surathkal. He has led roles spanning Product & Marketing functions in multiple industries with deep exposure to Digital Payments, Telecom and Digital Media. A founder himself in his past life, he co founded two companies during his entrepreneurial tenure , one in the HR services and the second one in the Online Gaming space. In his last assignment he was CPO for a digital payments company.
Nandan focuses on Enterprise Tech investing, including sectors such as SaaS (Global & Domestic), Supply Chain & Logistics.
Prior to joining Axilor, Nandan was with the Investment Banking team at Mosaic Capital, an India & Europe based Investment Banking firm where he advised mid market clients on M&A and fund-raise across Technology, Industrial & Healthcare sectors. Prior to this, he was with the Corporate & Investment Banking (Treasury & Securities Services) team at JP Morgan.
He holds an Advanced Diploma in Finance from the University of Cambridge and has a Business Management degree from Bangalore University. He also holds Investment Certifications from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments – London.
Prachi Sinha heads Healthcare Investments at Axilor. Prachi is most passionate about working with entrepreneurs on business model viability, go to market strategies, corporate partnerships, and clean regulatory pathways . She believes the gap in India’s healthcare capabilities and resources can be bridged only through innovation. To that end, she has specific interest in new commerce models and science backed ideas.
Prachi has a decade of public policy and consulting experience in organizations including Janaagraha and McKinsey. She is an MBA from Indian School of Business (ISB) and an economics graduate from Fergusson college, Pune.
Vishnu leads investments in the Clean Mobility space, through Micelio, a fund managed by Axilor. He is passionate about clean technologies, smart mobility, and climate change.
He comes with more than 5 years of experience in strategy consulting, public policy, entrepreneurship, and venture capital. He was a strategy consultant at FSG and Monitor-Deloitte. He has also worked as an energy policy analyst; co-founded an energy storage startup; and consulted with a cleantech venture fund.
He has a BSc (Hons.) and MSc in economics from the IIT Kharagpur and a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School.
Aditya is an Investment Fellow at Axilor Ventures. Prior to joining Axilor Ventures, he worked as an Investment Associate at a-IDEA, Technology Business Incubator of NAARM and was taking care of the early-stage investments (Seed and Grants) and investor liaising for the agritech and allied sector startups. Before joining a-IDEA, he worked as a Trainee Marketing Officer at Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited.
With an interest and understanding of agribusiness and livelihood sector by working in the field of consultancy, sales & marketing, and startup incubation & investment, Aditya has completed a certification course on Fundamentals of Microfinance offered by UNITAR which helped understand the livelihood sector from the perspective of microfinance and credit need. Apart from this in order to develop his understanding of Intellectual Property Rights he completed a certificate course in Intellectual Property Rights from IIM Bangalore.
He is an Agribusiness and agriculture graduate with PGDM (Agriculture) from ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad and B.Sc. (Agriculture) from Banaras Hindu University. He won the Silver Medal for achieving exceptional academic results in his post-graduation. He has also been awarded Chaudhary Charan Singh Award for securing second position in his under-graduation from Banaras Hindu University in the field of Agriculture.
Being a trained singer in Hindustani Classical Music he likes to sing and holds a keen interest in music. He also plays badminton in his free time.

Kamini focuses on Enterprise SaaS investments at Axilor.
She has over 2.5 years of experience in early stage investing and overall 7 years of work experience in different sectors. Prior to joining Axilor, she has worked as an Investment Associate at Gemba Capital wherein she was responsible for building investment thesis, sourcing and evaluating venture investments in SaaS and Consumer tech. Prior to this, she has worked as a Business Analyst at Indus Valley Partners. Prior to this, she was with the product development team at BYJU’s.
She has completed her Masters in Finance from JBIMS and B. Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NIT, Nagpur. She has active interest in theatre, listening to podcasts and reading non-fiction books in her free time.
Nidhi Mathur focusses on incubating innovative ideas under the Axilor Labs initiative. She is a serial entre/intra-preneur with vast experience bringing innovations to market, figuring out viable business models for technological innovations, building market acceptance for new-to-the-world technologies, and scaling-up businesses, both in startups and large enterprises.
In her previous avatar, she co-founded Niramai, an AI startup building a non-invasive, non-touch, non-radiation approach to breast cancer screening. While working with corporate research labs and incubation offices, she has worked on business models and products aimed at bridging the affordability and accessibility divide in emerging markets.
She is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore where she specialized in Marketing and Strategy. Apart from work, she enjoys trekking, bird-watching and helping out young entrepreneurs.
Adithya heads Fund Operations at Axilor and is responsible for devising investment processes, fund management, accounting and compliance and advises on operational finance to portfolio companies. Prior to joining Axilor, Adithya was Vice President at Stakeboat Capital and part of the founding team where he handled investments into mid-market growth equity deals in sectors of financial services, technology, and healthcare. Earlier to that, Adithya worked at Metis multi-family office advising large family-owned businesses on financial, transactional and strategic aspects. Prior to that, he was part of Ernst & Young Transaction advisory / Assurance practice where he handled audits and diligence of various companies across early stage, growth equity, M&A and restructuring.
He is qualified Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Management Accountant from ICMAI. Away from work, Adithya is passionate about chess and scribbling new business ideas.
Maggi leads Administration, HR & Facilities at Axilor. She is the “go to person” for tasks related to administration, facilities and employee and day-to-day operations at Axilor. She actively helps startups set up their initial infrastructure and put the foundational systems and processes in place.
Maggi has a combined experience of +16 years. Prior to joining Axilor, Maggi handled various roles in administration.
Nisha leads Outreach, Communications and Community at Axilor. She has a penchant for writing and is known for her interest in covering trends affecting the Future of Work. At Axilor, she works closely with Founders to develop their communications approach and creates and implements programs for Axilor’s Community of Founders. Jibin handles the end to end responsibility in managing the Pre-Seed program at Axilor. He is passionate about building partnerships, sales, marketing, advertising, and events.
Prior to Axilor, Jibin worked with Agrima Infotech, FullContact, Profoundis Labs, and Infosys in sales, marketing, and consulting roles. He also actively volunteers with IEEE, Headstart Network Foundation.
He has completed his Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Business Leadership from the School of Inspired Leadership, Gurgaon, and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) from the Federal Institute of Science And Technology affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala.
Chetan is part of the product leadership team at LinkedIn in Bay area. Until mid 2018, Chetan was the cofounder/CEO of Vizury, a leading company in the Customer Data Management & Marketing Cloud space. Over the 10 years at Vizury, he led a ~300 member setup of with offices across APAC, US & LATAM, while raising $30M in funding along the way. Over its lifetime, Vizury’s platform powered 1000+ leading brands in Retail, Finance & Travel verticals among others. He initiated the exit of one of Vizury’s business units through a M&A, and as a part of that decision transitioned out. Prior to Vizury, he was a part of the Business Value Group in Trilogy Inc. where he worked with Fortune 500 companies to establish business value from Trilogy’s solutions. Earlier, he worked in Philips’ research and development arm. He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and a Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science from National Institute of Technology, Surathkal.
